“we were so glad we did”
We were staying at ------- in Luss but the menu wasn’t our cup of tea, so we decided to walk 300 yards down the road... to “The Village Rest” and we were so glad we did. We had chorizo bruschetta for starters couldn’t fault it, it was perfect, I had a Lamb Giggot (cutlet from a leg of Lamb) with creamed mash roasted vegetables and minted gravy, (very tasty). My partner had sirloin steak medium that also was perfect. lots of deserts to choose from too.

“my wife's cake never stood a chance”
Stopped off here after a long drive, more to stretch our legs than anything else but we're pleasantly surprised by this small bistro. Obviously family run, it is bright, clean and friendly, the coffee was hot and strong and my wife's cake never stood a chance, next time we're this way again this will definite be a stop.

“we just had to go back!”
We visited twice in a week as our first meal was so impressive, we just had to go back! Highly recommend the Macaroni Cheese with bacon and the Steak and Ale pie, Good homecooked food and very reasonably priced. We had a little booth table and the staff were lovely and friendly.
